Evans Head Holiday Park Cleans up at The Richmond Valley Business Awards

When you run a business, you spend all your time chasing issues and problems that crop up throughout the day. It’s easy to miss the times of the day when you can share a laugh with your team, or celebrate the big and small wins you achieve. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m never shy of a few words to say. At the start of August, I experienced a moment that had me gobsmacked. One of the parks I manage with my partner Casey won not one, but two awards, at The Richmond Valley Business Awards.

We were blown away that our park won the Excellence in Hospitality, Tourism and Cultural Events category. This achievement reflects not only the hard work Casey and I have put into the park, it celebrates the hard work and dedication of our team. We strive day-in-day-out to provide our guests with a top rate holiday experience, and to be recognised by our peers in the Richmond Valley area is something that has us all grinning from ear to ear.

Our smilers were firmly set on our faces when we also won the Business of the Year award, that solidified to us that we really have created something as a team, that is celebrated by the local business community. We’ve always believed strongly that the community we work in is a place where we can celebrate each other’s businesses, and share in each other’s success. We manage our business with a strong focus on customer service and top-notch facilities. Our aim for every guest is to ensure they have the same holidays that our own family enjoys.

I know that I can speak for everyone on my team, and my wife Casey, when I say we’re humbled for the recognition that’s been given to us from The Richmond Valley. These awards are testament to the passion that our team delivers each day. Being passionate about what you do, and having the right methodologies and frameworks behind you, can drive your business to fantastic heights.

Congratulations to the whole team for making this possible.
